EBEA schedule

Below is a helpful guide to the EBEA award for those co-ordinating the process.

September

  • Head Teacher signs form indicating commitment to undertaking EBEA award.
  • EBP adviser visits school for initial meeting with WRL / EILT co-ordinator.
  • Explore Quality Standards Framework.

October/November

  • Meet EBEA assessor, other schools undertaking the award and discuss process.
  • Make a provisional date for assessor's visit.

November - February

  • Prepare Quality Standards Framework - with other members of WRL team, conduct audit and gather portfolio evidence needed.
  • Confirm 5 employers/organisations to receive award with you.
    Plan format for assessor's visit:
    • Discuss with EBP
    • Identify 4 focus groups (15 mins each)
    • Check availability of Head, Governor, staff, students.

Early March

  • Complete self assessment and submit portfolio.
  • Draw up programme for visit - make sure EBP has a copy.
  • Brief Head, Governor, staff, business partners, students, parents.

Late March

Assessment half day moderation.

May

Head receives report from assessor.

June

Award presentation and celebration.
