Whether you are committed to becoming a research scientist or would simply like to find out more about what these diverse subjects can offer you, the bursaries are designed for you.  The bursary gives you a worthwhile summer experience and the opportunity to be among the next generation of STEM professionals. Nuffield Bursary schemes give you the chance to work in leading scientific industries, research institutes and UK universities during your summer holiday.

The Schools and Colleges Bursaries are for students in their first year of an advanced or higher-level STEM course. The scheme gives them the opportunity to join a real research project with practising scientists in any STEM area. Projects run for four to six weeks in the summer vacation and students receive an £80 a week bursary.
