e missions from The National Space Centre
The island of Montserrat in the Caribbean is currently the most dangerous place on Earth. There is a hurricane reported on course to hit the island and the volcano on the island is threatening to erupt. Students will need to form an emergency response team to help monitor the volcano and hurricane and to evacuate the residents away from the danger zones.
Connect to the National Space Centre Command Centre, using video conferencing technology, and become the Emergency Response Unit for a ninety minute programme of exciting cross curricular activity.
Sessions cost £300 per session for up to 30 students - from year 6 through to 6th form.
It can be accomplished with just a webcam and a reasonably spec’d computer usually – no dedicated expensive hardware is needed (although it is always better!).
