Investors in Work Related & Enterprise Learning

A quality assurance award to support whole school delivery and management in work related learning and enterprise.

This is an award which requires evidence in the form of a portfolio covering 3 years of work related and enterprise activities. Schools work with their EBP adviser closely during this period prior to an external assessor visit.

Once assessed, the award culminates in an award ceremony and celebration event held at St Mellion International Resort near Saltash. The celebration event is a fantastic opportunity for schools and students to not only exhibit their work but also to demonstrate visually how they have worked with business partners.

The award is given for three years unless the evidence provided suggests an interim award with clear action points. The award is seen as a developmental tool and has been warmly appreciated by new post holders.

The 2009 Celebration event welcomed Ann Daniels, the record-breaking British polar explorer to speak about her experiences, the enormous challenges she faced and to present the IiWREL awards.
