CREST
CREST (CREativity in Science and Technology) is a UK-wide Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) award scheme managed by the British Science Association. Through CREST, young people aged 11-19 explore the real nature of STEM by doing their own creative problem solving through mini projects.
Projects are awarded at 3 levels:
Bronze (10 hours of work typically for 11-14 year olds)
Silver (30 hours of project work typically for 14-16 year olds)
Gold (70+ hours of project work typically for 16+ year olds)
CREST Star Investigators is a UK-wide award scheme that enables children
to solve scientific problems through practical investigation. The activities
focus on thinking about, talking about, and doing science. They are designed
to be used primarily outside of class time (e.g. in a science club), though
some are suitable for use in the classroom. For more information on Star Investigators,
please refer to the website. For order forms for all the awards please
contact Emma Febrey.
Please refer the to CREST website for further details on all awards, registration costs and project ideas.
